We cannot go back to the city.

LOUIE
WE know it wouldn’t be pretty

VITO
The boss is not one to take pity.

LOUIE

VITO and LOUIE
We’re down and out.

VITO
The job was so simple - Why could you not do it?
I cannot believe You have no common sense.

LOUIE
The boss was real vague
When he gave me instructions
How was I supposed to know Just what he meant?

He wasn’t that clear…..

VITO
Well here is a lesson In clarity for you
Sometimes there are things You must simply presume.
If you’re told to make some fella
Sleep with the fishes,
Don’t put an aquarium In his bedroom.

LOUIE
We’re down and out.

VITO
Nowhere to go.

LOUIE
They’re madder than hell

Without any dough.

LOUIE

LOUIE
We know it wouldn’t be pretty
